The student body reflects the rich diversity of the city of Minneapolis. Class sizes are limited to only 20 students per class.

Teaching faculty at Hope Academy each have a personal desire to equip the children of the city with an academically rigorous, comprehensive, classical Christian education to prepare them to deal purposefully, biblically, and responsibly with the complex issues of living in this present society. Teacher aides are employed to support reading and math instruction.

The educational plan emphasizes the basic tools of learning within a God-centered view of life. A solid foundation of truth permeates all instruction and nurtures moral and character development. A classical education model is followed to give students a foundational knowledge of language, mathematics, science, history and the arts. Beginning in the fourth grade, all students receive instruction in basic Latin vocabulary and grammar. Emphasis in the Middle School is placed on developing a student’s critical thinking through a formal study of logic.

Students wear attractive school uniforms each day and bus transportation is provided by the Minneapolis Public School system. A hot lunch is available for all students and is provided free of charge to those qualifying for the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program.
