HPCA is a Pre-K through 8 school, serving nearly 200 children in the Hunting Park section of Philadelphia for the past 11 years.
Company History
History:
In the spring of 1999, Spirit and Truth Fellowship Church met regarding the need for affordable Christian education in the inner city of Philadelphia. By God’s grace, the school was able to open in September of 1999 with a team of 6 employees and 70 students. Most of the children came from the immediate community and were not from “Christian” homes. Currently the community has a 53% high school drop-out rate. The community is typically undereducated. Many of the children we serve who come from the public schools are well behind grade level. We would like to change this in our community, by providing quality education and bringing the hope of Jesus Christ to the community. From its beginning the ethnic make-up of the school has been diverse.
